How to wear:
Use a harness of the correct size. An ill-fitting harness with straps too loose or too tight hinders movement and does not guarantee adequate protection.
Fall arrest harness (EN 361: 2002):
Hold the harness by the dorsal anchorage point.
Pass your arms through the shoulder straps and close the buckle on the chest strap.
Pass the leg straps around the legs and close the buckles.
Tighten the straps by pulling the loose ends until the harness fits snugly.
Use the dorsal anchorage rings or the two sternal loops joined by a carabiner as the anchorage point for a fall arrest system.
Positioning belt (EN 358: 1999):
Position the belt around the waist, with the padded support on the back and the D-ring anchorages on the hips.
Pull the end of the strap until it fits the body and close the buckles.
The belt is padded and has two side anchorage rings for positioning while working.
The belt also has tool-holding rings.
Suspension harness (EN 813: 2008):
Place the positioning belt around the waist with the padded support on the lower back and the "D" anchor ring on the front.
Verify in a safe place to ensure that the harness is the right size, comfortable, and suitable for the intended work situation.
Evacuation harness (EN 1497: 2007):
The "D" ring on the evacuation belt or the fabric loops on the shoulders are only for connecting with rescue teams during a rescue operation.
